GEORGIANA’S BIG DECISION

-

Initially disgusted by brash artist Charles Lockhart, Georgiana warmed to him when he painted her portrait – and now he has invited her to join him as he leaves for Europe. But is she ready to leave Sanditon behind?

‘Part of the appeal for Georgiana is that she’s surrounded by people telling her how she should behave, and here’s this man saying, “No, let’s march to the beat of our own drums!”’ says Justin.

‘She’s not madly in love with Lockhart, but she thinks it’s an adventure – she’s going to run away from this stifling society. But in Sanditon she’s surrounded by people like the Parkers and Charlotte, who genuinely love her for who she is. She’s better off staying in this quasi-family than running away with this guy who seems too good to be true.’
