Audrey’s son Stephen has proved to be a proper wrong ’un in recent weeks; up to his eyes in debt and prepared to con his own mother to save his skin. But Corrie producer Iain Macleod promises we haven’t seen the worst of the calculating Canadian – played by Todd Boyce (right) – just yet... far from it.
‘Stephen will get more and more desperate and more and more dark as the story unfolds,’ reveals Iain. ‘Our viewers are so canny – as soon as he arrived, everyone was like, “I’ve got him marked,” and they’ll be proved right in no small measure.
‘I’m excited to see the audience’s reaction when they realise that he’s every bit as desperate and dangerous as they predicted when he first returned.’
