It’s James’ big day as the series returns tonight

Wedding fever has hit Skeldale House as James (Nicholas Ralph) and Helen (Rachel Shenton) prepare for TV’S mostanticipated nuptials in the return of the beautifully nostalgic vet drama. But the big day doesn’t exactly go without a hitch as James gets embroiled in a medical crisis on the morning of the wedding. Meanwhile - perhaps unwisely! - Tristan has been appointed best man but, unsurprisingly, his big brother Siegfried doesn’t think he’s quite up to the job and decides to interfere… With just the right blend of heartfelt and hilarious moments and unsettling hints that war is on its way, this really is a perfect series opener.
