PREMIERE BIOPIC Charting the life of Tupac Shakur is no easy task and music-video director Benny Boom’s attempt tries to pack too much in – tracking 2Pac from youth to fame, film, conscious rap, gangsta rap, near-death experiences and death in a shooting. The climax hits hard, though, and Demetrius Shipp Jr is electrifying in the lead role.
