ADVENTURE Rock Hudson sails his nuclear sub to the Arctic for a tussle with the Russians over a wayward spy satellite. The studiobound special effects and the usual Alistair Maclean ploy of a mystery saboteur on board do little to lift this exciting, if dated, Cold War thriller. There are some good, sweaty scenes inside the sub and the acting honours go to The Prisoner’s Patrick Mcgoohan who brings a touch of class. Dir: John Sturges 1968, U
