Knives Out

CRIME COMEDY Daniel Craig is delightful as a sleuth with a ripe Southern accent who’s investigating the apparent suicide of a famous author (Christopher Plummer). Revelling in his theatrical methods, he quizzes the man’s shifty clan (including Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans and Toni Collette) with help from nurse Ana de Armas. An old-style whodunnit which is funny and self-aware, but never undercuts the game that’s afoot.
