Star Wars: The Last Jedi

PREMIERE SCI-FI EPIC Pleasing critics while annoying a good many die-hard fans, The Last Jedi has proved the most divisive movie in the Star

Wars canon. Yes, there are too many plot holes, and far too many do-or-die last-hope moments as Resistance heroes Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega) and Poe (Oscar Isaac), together with some old allies and new friends, strive to avoid total annihilation by the evil First Order. And, yes, there are possibly too many jokes – though the cute, puffin-like porgs are charming. Yet the film has spectacle and energy to spare and its characters continue to surprise, whether Adam Driver's conflicted bad guy Kylo Ren or Mark Hamill's magnificently grizzled, reluctant saviour Luke.
