Melissa Mccarthy and the Oscar-nominated Richard E Grant make a terrific double act in this hilarious, unexpectedly poignant fact-based comedy drama set in 1990s New York. Prickly enough to draw blood, the curmudgeonly Lee is far from likeable, but Mccarthy brings out her vulnerability and gets us rooting for her all the same. Dir: Marielle Heller 2018, 15
