Kheerat has a shock revelation for Vinny and Ash

Out of the nick after a 20year stretch for murder, Panesar patriarch Nish is trying to reconnect with his kids. Kheerat wouldn’t pee on him if he were on fire, but the fella is worming his way into Vinny’s life and also makes headway with Ash this week. How will the pair feel, though, when Kheerat reveals that Daddy didn’t kill to protect them, as they believe, but had an entirely dishonourable motive?

Nish starts the week by arranging a family lunch, but only Vinny shows up. Kheerat, meanwhile, offloads on Stacey and reveals that his dad killed someone who got too close to Suki. Hmm, a lover, perhaps? It would certainly explain why she’s been so desperate to keep Eve a secret.

With the meal a washout, Nish focuses on the family business. But not long after another runin with Kheerat, he collapses.

Ash finds him in a bad way and calls fellow GP Nina, who puts lover Ravi – Nish’s secret son – in the picture. Alone with his daughter, Nish shares some touching words.

It’s too much for Kheerat when he realises Nish has won Ash round. He’s already in a foul mood, having earlier found out that Stacey has known for months about Suki and Eve’s on/off relationship and also knew the truth about his dad. Later, he makes a huge decision and tells Ash and Vinny the real reason their father was banged up.

Nish is silently fuming when the duo confront him.

Can he win them round? And if not, should whistle-blower Kheerat watch his back?
