Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

PREMIERE SCI-FI EPIC Forty-two years after George Lucas first ventured into a galaxy far, far away, JJ Abrams brings the 'Skywalker saga' to a close with an adventure that's a tad anticlimactic. The movie looks spectacular, but as Daisy Ridley and her Resistance comrades Oscar Isaac andjohn Boyega skip from planet to planet in pursuit of a magical object that will enable them to foil the evil First Order one last time, there's a sense the plot is spinning its wheels. Still, the dynamic between Ridley's Rey and Adam Driver's conflicted villain Kylo Ren pays dramatic dividends, it's good to see Carrie Fisher's Leia one last time and the swashbuckling action is spot on.
