Muppets Most Wanted

Kermit the Frog fans, there are two of them – a good one and a villainous lookalike – in this 2014 sequel to the wildly successful reboot of all things Muppetty, 2011's The Muppets. The plot is built around a jewel heist while the Muppets are on tour in Europe and it’s just substantial enough to support the vast number of cameos – from Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga early on, to Hugh Bonneville, Tom Hiddleston, Ray Liotta and Salma Hayek later (the list really does go on and on). And Ricky Gervais plays a bad guy called Dominic Badguy! Lots of fun, if not quite up there with the Muppets’ 2011 outing. ★★★ SM
