Britain’s Greatest Obsessions
FACTUAL 10PM, SKY HISTORY, NOW (BOX SET)
The gang of borderline national treasures are together again to discuss surely our greatest obsession – the weather. Liza Tarbuck is our climate champion as she explores why we are totally fixated by forecasts. Her first port of call is weather presenter Owain Wyn Evans, who explains that despite huge advances in technology, the forecast can still be tricky to get right. (‘I’m not Mystic Meg, darling,’ he giggles.) She also meets a maritime expert, who reveals how the weather has played a huge role in our history, a weather psychologist, a farmer, a scientist and even a witch who claims to be in touch with her internal weather systems. A light-hearted end to this thoroughly enjoyable series. ★★★ JL
