I enjoyed watching the documentary John & Joe Bishop: Life after Deaf on ITV. It was commendable how instead of trying to ‘fix’ his son’s hearing, comedian John helped

Joe to find his place in the deaf community. I applaud John for learning to sign well enough to do a stand-up routine in BSL [British Sign Language] for a deaf audience.
