While the trend for bigger cars continues, micromobility is also booming, and Paris is the destination for the trio next week as they try the latest and smallest models for size – quadricycle the Citroën Ami, three-wheeler the Carver electric, and the City Transformer, which changes shape at the touch of a button.

‘The cars were so small, we even drove them through Paris’ answer to Selfridges,’ says Paddy. ‘They didn’t move anything out of the way for us, so we were driving around going, “Ooh, perfume, handbags, sunglasses!”’ Paddy says these cars were actually really good for city driving.

‘They’re great for weaving in and out of traffic!’ he says.
