Enola’s other sidekick this time is Sherlock, as the violin-playing detective and his sister discover a link between a case he has been working on and her investigation. After the pair grudgingly team up to look into the connection, Enola becomes a surprising support to Baker Street’s finest.

‘He’s on the back foot and against the ropes – we find a Sherlock that has started to fall apart,’ says Henry, 39. ‘A challenge has proven the better of him, and it’s leading him towards a slippery slope that only Enola can pull him back from. ‘Enola and Sherlock’s relationship has evolved now to a place more in line with equals. While Sherlock has the experience of being a detective and his second-to-none mind, he doesn’t have the same emotional wherewithal as Enola, nor the same heart.

‘In the first film, Enola learnt from Sherlock, while in this one, the tables may have turned… She’s probably the only person he’d listen to.’
