My POLICEMAN
Harry Styles stars in an emotive period drama
FILM PRIME VIDEO
Pop star Harry Styles goes back to 1950s Brighton to star as a secretly gay police officer in this moving drama set in repressed times when homosexuality was a criminal offence in Britain. Harry plays Tom, who marries teacher Marion (The Crown’s Emma Corrin). But when he forges a friendship with museum curator Patrick (David Dawson), it awakens repressed sexual desires and the two men embark on a passionate affair that threatens to ruin them all… Rupert Everett, Linus Roache and Gina Mckee play the trio who are reunited 40 years later in the 1990s when previous events still cast a shadow. It’s shocking to think those times ever existed! ★★★★ NC
