WITCHETTY GRUB

‘I wanted to do a play on the “bubble of nasties” [the infamous plastic helmet that I’m a Celebrity… campmates often wear in trials, which gets filled with creepy-crawlies], so we got a whopping great Witchetty Grub! They’re not a gorgeous-looking creature by any means; they’re sort of just a blob, but we tried to give our Witchetty Grub a bit of character – and a funny face, which is ploughing into a collection of really nasty sweets and cakes and bugs and beasties!

‘I like Witchetty Grub because it’s the weirdest of the ideas, and I’m drawn to the strange and the unusual. I like that we’ve essentially made a massive maggot and put that on stage!’
