The story of Neil Baldwin has been adapted as a play and is currently enjoying a limited run in London’s West End, but anyone with a Prime Video subscription can see the original Bafta-winning BBC drama by The A Word writer Peter Bowker. It tells the true story of Neil (Toby Jones), who is diagnosed with a learning disability but doesn’t let this hold him back from doing what he wants to do, including being Nello the clown and Stoke City football club’s kit man. With a cast that also includes Gemma Jones as Neil’s mum, this is an inspiring, emotional watch. ★★★★★ JP
