Amy reels as her family make a dark discovery
Struggling with the nasty rumours about her that are swirling around the school, young Amy has barely budged from her bedroom.
Jack’s hoping it’s just a phase, but the stressed dad is in for a shock when he discovers his daughter’s issues run deeper…
The truth unfolds when Jack organises a belated birthday meal for Amy. It’s the last thing the teenager wants, and she stews in her bedroom again.
She thinks she’s home alone, and doesn’t hear Sam arrive. The blonde has used her old key to get in and has bought Amy a new dress to wear for the do, hoping it will get her an invite to the meal and she can spend time with son Ricky.
Sam innocently goes to Amy’s bedroom, and gets a huge shock when she sees what the traumatised teen is doing in private. Arriving at The Vic with Ames, she collars Jack in the loos and tells him what she witnessed… only for the pair to realise Amy is just yards away and has overheard everything.
Things only spiral from there. Amy orders her dad to stay out of her life, and the desperate DI heads to Amy’s school with Denise, to alert them to what’s been going on.
Adamant that his daughter’s problems are all down to Denzel, he then confronts Howie back in the Square, and ends up punching him.
Denise begs her husband to calm down, only to be told that Amy is his child, not hers!
