Sly Stallone takes on his first lead TV role

Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone stars as New York mobster Dwight ‘The General’ Manfredi, who becomes a fish out of water when he’s despatched to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to set up new criminal operations there. This 10-part drama, by creator Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone) and writer Terence Winter (The Sopranos), has humour and heart and sees Mafia member Dwight, fresh out of jail after serving 25 years, forced to navigate a completely new environment as he recruits a bunch of misfit locals into his new ‘Mob’. ‘Suddenly he’s in this place he has no clue about with cornfields and cowboys everywhere’, says Stallone of his role. ‘It’s a completely alien landscape to him.’ TL
