It’s been a vintage Bake Off with great characters and gorgeous bakes, but now there are just three deserving finalists left to tackle some of the tent’s toughest-ever challenges. For the Signature, they must present a summer picnic involving an incredible 18 individual bakes - ‘Do it in the time and don’t make mistakes,’ says Paul helpfully to one baker! Then, after a supremely difficult Technical, the final Showstopper is a cakebased sculpture with the theme of ‘Our Beautiful Planet’. Some of this series’ previous contestants come back for good measure, but, sadly, only one baker can nab the trophy, and we agree with Prue, who declares, ‘I don’t care who wins, I just love them all!’ ★★★★★ CC
