Another four chefs are preparing to subject themselves to the all-seeing gaze of the judges in the latest heat. In the dreaded Skills Test, two of them must endure Marcus Wareing’s tricky challenge of turning a rack of pork into chops with a butterbean stew in just 20 minutes, while the other two face Anna Haugh’s equally difficult feat of making delicious tempura vegetables with a Japanese-style chilli mayonnaise. Then, the pressure is on as they all cook a two-course Signature Menu for a place in the next quarter-final. Continues tomorrow and Thursday. ★★★★ CC
