Daniel nips home from the surgery to get his laptop, and is horrified to find daughter Izzie frolicking on the sofa with boyfriend Lee. Furious, he sends Lee packing, and confiscates Izzie’s phone.
After opening up to Zara, the frustrated father agrees to treat Izzie like an adult, while Zara, meanwhile, invites Lee round for lunch. The lad reveals he has quit an apprenticeship, and clashes with Daniel as he argues for the legalisation of drugs. Zara gives him the benefit of the doubt, but she worries when Lee mentions he has a friend in the Preston family, a notorious bunch of criminals who live on the Churchill Estate.
Meanwhile, cashstrapped Scarlett (right) sleeps in the minor-surgery unit after doing a shift at the warehouse, but as she wakes up, bleary-eyed, she accidentally knocks over the new ultrasound scanner, causing it to break.
She says nothing as Bear mounts an investigation, although later has to come clean to Karen, who advises her to remain quiet. But with Princess on the prowl, how long until she’s busted?
Elsewhere, Valerie apologises to stressed mum Hailey for giving her false hope about her daughter’s asthma, and Gareth is put in a difficult position by DS Cassidy.
Due to the World Cup, there is no Doctors on Monday. There is an hour-long episode on Tuesday, while Thursday and Friday’s episodes will air at 3.15pm.
