How would you describe the premise of the show?
The concept is very simple, which I wanted to make sure of. For me, it was all about focusing on the contestants. I have built a cookery school in Italy, where I invite only single students who hopefully can find love through food.
Where did the idea come from?
I have always wanted to do a dating show with cooking, because I think it’s a cool way to meet people and fall in love. So the idea is a dream that ITV has made possible.
This show is all about helping people and giving them the confidence to find love, which is so hard to do nowadays. Meeting through food and cooking worked for my wife and I, my parents, and my grandparents, so there must be some method to the magic!
