It might be 8am on a damp and dreary Monday but Helen Skelton and Jules Hudson are on top form and bursting with excitement about the return of Channel 5’s popular series Live: Winter on the Farm.

Dave Nicholson as they prepare the 126-acre holding for the chilly months ahead.

‘There’s always such a good atmosphere and the fact that it’s all live just makes it more fun. We never know what to expect or what the animals are going to do!’ says Helen, 39.

Here, in an exclusive interview, Helen and Jules, 52, tell us what to look out for this time…

What do you love most about winter season on the farm? HELEN

I love those winter days when it’s crisp, bright and clear. I enjoy the cold wind in my face and being outside – when you get indoors again it’s extra cosy.
