Scrooge: A Christmas Carol

This animated musical version of the classic Charles Dickens tale has been reimagined from the 1970 movie Scrooge starring Albert Finney (which you can see on Channel 5 today at 4.40pm). It includes original songs by Oscar-winner Leslie Bricusse, who died last year, aged 90, among some new ones. Luke Evans voices money-lending miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who’s visited by the ghost of his former business partner Jacob Marley, followed by three more ghosts who show him what will happen if he continues mistreating people. Listen out for Olivia Colman as the voice of the Ghost of Christmas Past, Johnny Flynn as Scrooge’s mistreated clerk Bob Cratchit and Jessie Buckley as Isabel Fezziwig. NC
