Ty’s second selftitled LP forgoes home recording and overdubs for an as-live, full-band effort, engineered by Steve Albini. It’s both Ty at his most pretty – see the wistful, hippyish love song “Orange Color Queen” – and his most out-there: the 10-minute “Warm Hands (Freedom Returned)” might just be his “Bohemian Rhapsody”.
