1976’s Wind & Wuthering was Hackett’s final album with Phil and co; Wuthering Nights is a 40thcelebration of sorts, documenting his first-ever journey into the Genesis back catalogue. Supported by a crack band, the talismanic guitarist revisits “Eleventh Earl Of Mar”, “Afterglow” and “One For The Vine”, and loses himself for a happy 10 minutes in “Firth Of Fifth”. Bolstered by solo favourites, and much of 2017’s well-received The Night Siren, this a well-pitched celebration of former career and current canon. Extras: 7/10.
