This 2016 BBC Radio Theatre set is a solid representation of Van’s current stage show, favouring crisp R&B efficiency over transcendence. In fine voice and decent humour, only a rollicking “Cleaning Windows” and mesmerising “In The Garden” reach higher ground. Extras: 8/10. Up On Cyprus Avenue documents Morrison’s terrific 70th-birthday show, set among the formative “avenue of trees” of East Belfast. “And The Healing Has Begun” and “On Hyndford Street”, in particular, rise to the auspicious setting.
