BOB SEIDEMANN
Photographer (1941–2017)
An encounter with Big Brother And The Holding company led to photographer Bob Seidemann shooting a semi-naked Janis Joplin at his studio in 1967. Seidemann went on to create a number of album covers for the grateful dead and others, among them neil Young (On The Beach) and Jackson Browne (Late For The Sky). His most controversial work, however, was a shot of a topless 11-year-old girl for Blind Faith’s only LP.
