Hardcore punk pioneer (1960–2018)
as a founder member of Vancouver’s DOa, bassist and occasional singer randy rampage played a key role in the development of hardcore punk, alongside peers Black Flag, the Germs and Bad Brains. rampage, whose birth name was randall archibald, featured on 1980 debut Something Better Change and followup Hardcore ’81, before being fired on New Year’s Day 1982. six years later he became lead singer of Canadian thrash-metallers annihilator. He returned to DOa in 2000.
