Synth-pop bassist (1988–2018)

Drake university graduate Joseph Maus gave up his regular job at an insurance company to join his older brother John’s band in 2016. Minnesota-born Maus, who has died from a previously unknown heart condition while on tour in Latvia, embraced his dual role as his sibling’s business manager and bassist. synth-pop outsider John, who has recently returned to music after an absence of five years, immediately cancelled all his forthcoming dates.
