Home Invasion: In Concert At The Royal Albert Hall

- TERRY STAUNTON

EAGLE ROCK 7/10 pedestrian prog salvaged by a feast for the eyes

While still working under a broader mainstream radar, Wilson’s brand of hard-edged prog filled the RAH for three nights earlier this year, career-spanning shows mixing material from his days fronting Porcupine Tree and selections from more recent solo releases. “Song Of Unborn” and “Sleep Together” stand out in a relatively pedestrian set, but the elaborate lighting and visuals (’70s Pink Floyd is an undeniable touchstone) impressively paper over the occasional musical cracks. Extras: 7/10. Rehearsal tracks, interview and backstage footage.
