PAUL CURCIO
Guitarist and producer (1944–2018)
Paul Curcio was a founder member of The Mojo Men, the Bay Area quartet who scored a US Top 40 hit in 1967 with a cover of Buffalo Springfield’s “Sit Down, i Think i love You”. Curcio went on to set up the Pacific Recording studio, site of Santana’s first album and the Grateful Dead’s Aoxomoxoa, before achieving immortality in thrash metal circles by producing Metallica’s 1983 debut, Kill ’Em All, at his own Music America studio in new York.
