OUR LIVES IN MUSIC
Can I just say that one of the regular (hidden) gems in Uncut is the last page, often the one I turn to first – My Life In Music, where a guest musician picks eight of his or her favourite albums. Maybe not necessarily their favourite eight, but records that clearly, for various reasons, they go back to time after time. David Crosby’s choices last month were fascinating to read about… and within minutes I found myself on Spotify playing Joni Mitchell’s Blue, which Crosby described as “probably the best collection of songs anybody ever put on a record”. High praise indeed. This is a great way to go back in time and discover, or rediscover, some brilliant music. Paul Doughty, Surrey
