BOB ESTY
Disco producer (1947–2019)
Songwriter, producer and arranger Bob Esty made his reputation at the height of disco during the ’70s. His most celebrated success, co-produced with Giorgio Moroder and Paul Jabara, came with Donna Summer’s Grammy-winning “Last Dance”, a major US hit in 1978. Esty also worked with Barbra Streisand, co-wrote Cher’s 1979 album Take Me Home and, in 1982, co-produced The Weather Girls’ “It’s Raining Men”.
