3. SELF DRIVE IN NEW ZEALAND
There is truly nowhere like New Zealand. Located in the southwest of the Pacific Ocean, New Zealand is south-east of Australia and for many travellers, is often combined in the same trip. However New Zealand, which is formed of two islands (North Island and South Island) is most certainly its own destination, and with so much to do and see there, you could easily spend a couple of months exploring the great outdoors. New Zealand is famous for its simply jaw-dropping natural environments and landscapes – no wonder it was the backdrop to creative films like The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings. The islands are home to glacial lakes, dramatic volcanoes, local vineyards and picture-perfect blue lakes. One of the best way to experience New Zealand’s natural beauty is to hire a car and drive around. This way, you can stop whenever you like, taking photographs, hiking valleys, and admiring the breath-taking views. Some of the excursions need to be booked in advance, such as bungee jumping off the Kawarau Bridge, kayaking in the Milford Sound National Park, and taking a helicopter flight over the Franz Josef Glacier. For adrenaline-junkies, New Zealand is certainly a good choice.
