1. HOT AIR BALLOON SAFARI ABOVE THE SERENGETI

-

Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park is arguably the best safari destination on the continent. At an impressive size of 14,750 km², the Serengeti is home to elephant families, huge buffalo herds, resident big cats including lion, leopard and cheetah, crocodile and hippo aplenty, and a wealth of plains game such as zebra, antelope and giraffe among many others. On top of that, the plains of the Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania are home to the famous wildebeest migration. This is an annual pilgrimage where approximately

1.5 million wildebeest, accompanied by over 200,000 zebra, migrate through the plains of the Serengeti, covering a total distance of around 480 kilometres in search of fresh rains and green pasture. A way to experience this sighting to the fullest is from the sky. A hot air balloon safari gives you a perspective like no other. While seeing the herds from the ground gives you the smells and sounds, a view from the hot air balloon allows you to see the sheer numbers of the migration herds as the sun rises over the game-filled plains. On landing, you will enjoy a champagne breakfast in the bush!
