Watch the northern lights over Jokulsarlon Iceberg Lagoon, Iceland

One of Iceland’s top attractions, the Jokulsarlon Iceberg Lagoon has been featured in numerous films, like James Bond’s “A View to a Kill” and “Batman Begins.”

The largest glacier in Europe looms above, while seals float along the blue-tinged icebergs in the still waters that reflect that sky and surrounding scenery. The bergs frequently break off the glacier a thundering crash, drifting through a short river into the sea with the waves turning some back to a black sand beach where they lie scattered across like works of art, or sparkling gems, which gave it the nickname Diamond Beach.
