Get baking for help for heroes

-

ARE you a cake lover?

Do you enjoy the wonderful tastes and textures of a chocolate fudge cake or a Victoria sponge or are you a budding Mary Berry or James Martin?

It doesn’t matter which category you fall into, because this summer there will be the opportunity to earn your stripes and be part of something special. With the Help for Heroes National Bake for Heroes campaign (which runs until July 1), you can take your place in local cake folklore and raise essential funds for our wounded, injured and sick service personnel; enabling them and their families the opportunity to reach their potential.

If you are more of a cake eater than a baker, then why not join in the fun by bringing shop bought cakes to the table.

Everyone is welcome and the more people who are involved the merrier. The great thing about Bake for Heroes is that anyone can join in.

But for me, the best aspect is that you can make some great friends.

I would encourage people to come and take part in what will be a fun-filled week and raise money for those who need our assistance.

So, if you want to experience a fresh challenge, tuck into some yummy cakes, or are keen to meet new people, then visit www.helpforheroes.org.uk/givesupport/fundraise/bake-for-heroes/
