Let’s get ready to scramble
THE new vicar of St Andrew’s Church in Uxbridge, Reverend Andrew Studdert-Kennedy, formally opened the new KS1 Playground at St Andrew’s CofE Primary School on Tuesday November 20.
This new playground was funded and built by the London Diocese with financial contributions from parents and carers through their donations to the school care and maintenance fund.
Despite the inclement weather, Rev Andrew was joined by Councillor Judith Cooper, a member of the school governing body, for the grand unveiling.
The vicar said a short blessing in front of the children and staff, plus a group of parents who braved the cold and the rain. This was followed by all the pupils singing a capella version of the school prayer.
The children in the lower school are eagerly anticipating their opportunity to test out the new climbing equipment during their break and lunchtimes.
