Memories of Q car rolling stock

BEING of the older generation, I remember the old ‘Q’ type [Gazette 21.11.18] rolling stock and certainly the more recent sub-surface ‘A’ (Amersham) rolling stock that was hurriedly withdrawn before the 2012 London Olympics.

Their successors, the Bombardier ‘S’ stock trains are not a patch on their predecessors – these new trains are cold in winter with uncomfortable, sideways seating that is unusable, if you do not want a pain in the neck.

London transport, (TFL) started going downhill when it started referring to the travelling public as ‘customers’ , rather than ‘Passengers.’
