ACER AND THE HUMAN FOREST PARTNER TO

CELEBRATE THE GREEN ASPIRE VERO LAPTOP.

- London, UK, Editor’s Summary

• The Human Forest is a sustainably conscious e-bike fleet whose ethos is ‘A cleaner, healthier, happier world is possible, one pedal at a time’ The Acer Aspire Vero is an eco-friendly design and upgradeable laptop, Acer’s first step on the way to pioneering a green PC that utilizes PCR plastic across the entire chassis.

The Human Forest and Acer have partnered to offer 2 challenges across 2 months, allowing the Human Forest community to plant trees for every 20km they ride, as well as the opportunity to win an Aspire Vero laptop. The HumanForest has partnered with tech company Acer for two months in support of their latest product, the Aspire Vero laptop. Acer’s carbon-saving actions strongly align with Human Forest’s mission, which not only encourages its community to switch to their non-carbon emitting eBikes, but also uses 100% renewable energy for its entire fleet and operations. The aim of these challenges is to raise awareness amongst riders, or “Treenions”, of the wider impact that their cycling is having on the environment, as well as their mental and physical health.

Depending on the type of challenge being hosted, each rider will be able to monitor the amount of CO2 they have saved from being emitted, the hours they have spent in the great outdoors and the number of calories they have burned through cycling.

Across the two-month partnership, Acer will be sponsoring two different challenges, with particular focus on the amount of CO2 saved. Firstly, in collaboration with Ecologi, for every 20km ridden by a Human Forest customer, Acer will plant a tree. This is in line with Acer’s pledge, whereby for every Aspire Vero purchased, 100 trees will be planted. Whilst this cements Acer’s sustainability commitments, it also furthers the contribution to a cleaner, greener planet already made by Human Forest users travelling by eBike.

The partnership with Acer culminates with their monthly challenge, which will see 2 lucky Human Forest users win their own Aspire Vero laptop simply by pedalling. The top 50 customers who have saved the most CO2 whilst riding with Human Forest will be placed in a draw and 1 winner will be randomly selected for each month of the partnership. -

More about the Acer Aspire Vero - Green Laptop

The Aspire Vero is made with Post-Consumer Recycled plastics (PCR) - which are eco-friendly, more sustainable, and reduce landfill waste.

Its chassis is composed of 30% PCR plastic, cutting CO2 emissions by 21% [i] for the production of that part. The keycaps also contain 50% PCR plastic, and the Aspire Vero’s award-winning 100% recyclable packaging can be repurposed as a DIY laptop stand. From there, a thoughtful design helps to eliminate needless waste by making it easy to disassemble, repair, upgrade and recycle the computer or its components.

Acer’s new VeroSense™ software gives users the option of selecting a usage mode that has been optimized for energy efficiency and battery life.
