UK-based vegan cheeze producers Bute Island Foods has entered bold new territory, launching its first ever range of vegan hot cheeze bakes under its delicious Sheese brand.

Available to buy now from Sainsbury’s, Sheese Melting Sheesy Bake with Spring Onion and Garlic (£3.75) is the ultimate plant-based comfort food for this winter — guaranteed to tantalise tastebuds with its punchy, smoky aroma of spring onion and garlic. The new cheezy bake is ideal for a variety of occasions, from a formal dinner party to a dipping nibble or even a casual and easy lunch.

In light of the release of the new baked product, it seems that Sheese listen to its growing base of hungry customers. Sheese marketing director, Nigel White, says: “As the alternativ­e dairy market continues to grow around the globe, more and more consumers are choosing plant-based alternativ­es across a range of categories, and plant-based cheeses are growing at a steady rate in the UK. Consumers who are making the switch to plant-based — whether vegan or flexitaria­n — tell us they want greater choice, not only in terms of taste and texture but also for different eating occasions. Currently, there is little premium element to UK dairy-free cheese eating occasions.”
