Salted Cinnamon Hot Cocoa
Serves 1-2
Nothing beats a cosy cup of hot cocoa in the wintertime. This dairy-free hot cocoa features the antioxidant-rich, rawest form of cocoa: cacao powder, blended with cinnamon and a hint of salt for the most deliciously silky, warming treat. This hot cocoa is ready in a matter of minutes and is also naturally sweetened.
• 360ml (12.1fl oz) plant milk
• 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
• ½ tsp cinnamon
• Pinch of salt
• ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
• 2 tbsp maple syrup
Toppings (optional):
• Fluffy coconut whipped cream
• Cacao nibs
1 Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Whisk in the cacao powder, cinnamon, salt, vanilla and maple syrup. Bring the mixture to a boil, whisking frequently, then remove from the heat. Serve with a dollop of coconut whipped cream and raw cacao nibs, if desired.
