The founder of YNNY, Georgina Tang, talks us through her all-natural beauty products

Hi, Georgina. What makes YNNY different to other vegan beauty brands on the market?

The unique selling point is that I created result driven products with love and passion. Almost every single product has been created for someone or for a business. For example, I created Ultra Mild Shampoo and Conditioner for my son and for my neighbour, who underwent chemotherapy, to aid healthy hair growth after experiencing medical hair loss.

My miracle Elixir was partially created for a beautician for use with her microdermabrasion treatment to rejuvenate the skin, but mostly for myself as I couldn't find a highly effective antiaging serum to turn back the aging clock. Elixir is now regarded as the holy grail of antiaging serums. It's a powerhouse serum because I used only active ingredients, rather than cheap carrier oils to fill up the bottles. My aim in creating a product is that it must work and be highly effective, not about profit margin! That's the difference.

What are your hero products?

It has to be Elixir and also Enhanced Collagen Booster, sister to Elixir. Fine lines, blemishes, dark circles under eyes, acne, scars, rosacea and hyperpigmentation will be reduced within weeks using these two products. I am the living proof that they work effectively because I am almost 60 but look like someone in their early 40s!

Please talk us through your sustainability practices/targets.

My company does several things to fulfil our sustainability policy, for example, we buy our ingredients and packaging from UK suppliers. Our main packaging supplier is only 15 minutes away from our headquarters, helping to reduce our environmental footprint. We do not use commercial machineries, and instead, bottle our products by hand or by using a basic manual bottling machine, minimising negative impact on the environment and reducing fuel usage. Staff also live close by — only 10 minutes away by car or by foot, minimising fuel consumption.

Do you have any new products launching soon?

Yes! A scented cleanser and makeup remover have been launched, whilst an arnica lip oil for use after filler treatment and lactic acid exfoliator will be released soon.
