BUSHTUCKER FILES

MARION MCMULLEN prepares a dossier on each of the big names on this year’s I’m A Celebrity...

-

Diversity’s Jordan Banjo, 23

IF there are spiders around, there is a strong chance there will be tears. As soon as I got the invite, the first person I turned to was my brother Ash (Diversity frontman Ashley Banjo). He is my role model.

Comedian Joel Dommett, 31

I AM not looking to find love in the jungle. I’ll try not to let feelings be known while an entire nation watches you. Otherwise you will get out and be thinking ‘Why was I doing that?’.

Presenter Lisa Snowdon, 44

NOTHING is going to kill me and so you have to rise to the challenge. I am at the stage in my life where it’s good to be challenged. It’s a bit extreme, but I want to step outside my comfort zone.

Presenter Carol Vorderman, 55

I WILL be 56 in December and there is life in the old bird yet. It’s irrelevant whether I win, for me it doesn’t matter, and I genuinely think that. I want to learn new things about myself.

Ex-footballer Wayne Bridge, 36

I AM scared of absolutely everything – rats, spiders, cockroaches, snakes, claustrophobia, sleeping in the jungle – I am bricking myself. Of course, my friends will take the mickey and I will be getting ripped if I scream.

Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt, 26

I AM really curious to see what the things taste like. If you get an ostrich ear, I want to know what it’s like to eat it whole. Rump steak is my favourite food, but really that is a cow’s bum.

Emmerdale’s Adam Thomas, 28

I AM scared of pretty much everything, especially spiders, and it’s why I went to get hypnotised. I have had two sessions now, but I am still scared of spiders. I wake my fiancée to get rid of them.

Strictly dancer Ola Jordan, 34

I DON’T have any phobias but, at the same time, I hate everything. It’s all very well watching TV and seeing the celebrities go through it all and saying ‘that’s easy,’ but now I am doing it, I don’t know how I’ll cope.

Actor Larry Lamb, 68

I AM fit for my age. I am definitely not going to quit. I will stay until I am booted out. I probably will get a little bit grumpy with no food.

Team GB hockey star Sam Quek, 28

WHEN I’ve seen the show at home I have thought ‘OMG, I can’t do this.’ Now I am going in. My boyfriend came up to me the other day with a spider and I said ‘No, get it away.’ He said I needed practice.

IT’S time for celebrities to say goodbye to their home comforts and head Down Under to face cold showers, snakes and bug-eating challenges.

Ant and Dec are back in the jungle of Murwillumbah in New South Wales, Australia to present the latest series.

And they might be cracking open the champagne for Ant’s birthday. He turns 41 on November 18 and will be partying in Oz.

He says: “Am I doing a list? Anything that involves booze is fine.”
