FA CUP ROUND-UP

-

SON HEUNG-MIN’S stoppage-time winner saw Tottenham recover from being a goal down with a minute to go against League Two Wycombe.

Paul Hayes, who had earlier headed against the bar, shocked the Premier League side with a sweetly struck leftfooted volley to put Wycombe ahead.

The captain grabbed his second from the spot to double the visitors’ lead. But Son’s deflected effort on the hour and a Vincent Janssen penalty four minutes later pulled Spurs level.

Substitute Garry Thompson headed in Myles Weston’s cross with seven minutes to go to put Gareth Ainsworth’s side back in front.

But a composed 89th-minute finish from Dele Alli pulled Spurs level again, before Son scrambled in a late winner.

Meanwhile Lincoln City reached the last 16 of the FA Cup for the first time in 115 years with a superb victory over Championship leaders Brighton at Sincil Bank.

Brighton went in front through Richie Towell but the National League leaders mounted a superb secondhalf recovery. Alan Power’s penalty began the fightback before Fikayo Tomori put the ball past his own goalkeeper.

Theo Robinson added the third on the break.

The result sees Brighton eliminated from the FA Cup by non-league opposition for the first time since 1998.

Elsewhere, League One Oxford United shocked Championship highflyers Newcastle United 3-0 while there were comfortable wins for Chelsea and Manchester City
