LLANELLI wound up their season by completing a splendid double with victory in the Nathaniel Car Sales League Cup final.

Five days after being crowned Second Division champions having completed their League programme unbeaten they captured the Cup with a 3-1 triumph over Bridgend Street at Briton Ferry’s Old Road Ground.

And prolific scorer Lee Trundle was among the marksmen yet again grabbing his 51st goal of a remarkable season.

Also on target for the Reds was Ross Jones and Jordan Davies while Jeff White bagged a consolatio­n goal for the Cardiff side three minutes from time.

On a dramatic weekend in the Welsh League Cwmamman United were promoted to the top flight while Swansea outfit West End were relegated to Division Three and there’s a new club heading for the League Team Swansea.

Cwmamman join Llanelli and Briton Ferry in the first division after a 3-0 win at Aberbargoe­d Buds through a brace of goals by Colin Harris and one by Jordan Vickers.

West End drew 2-2 at Pontardawe but that was not sufficient to keep them in Division Two. Tyler Brock bagged both the Pontardawe goals while Argris Poutchadis and Christophe­r Hole netted for West End.

Caerau just missed out on promotion from the third division despite a 5-2 victory over promoted STM Sports- also up are Llantwit Major.

Trefelin finished their programme with a 2-1 home defeat by Bridgend Street.

Swansea Senior League Champions Team Swansea pipped for promotion to the Welsh League last season by Ynysygerwn made it comfortabl­y this time when they trounced Neath League title-holders Cwm Wanderers 6-0 in the play-off game at Garden Village’s Stafford Common.
