JORDAN Davies bagged himself a brace as Llanelli Town beat Ton Pentre 3-0 to make it five wins out of five and go three points clear at the top of Welsh League Division One.

The visitors certainly had their chances before the Reds – without hitman Lee Trundle who is away on holiday – seized control with goals from Davies on 65 and 67 minutes respective­ly.

Liam Samuel added a third seven minutes from time.

Second-placed Goytre United were not in action while Haverfordw­est County are up to third and are also still unbeaten after goals from Steffan Williams and Joe Leahy fired them to a 2-0 win at Cwmamman United.

Penybont slipped from third to sixth after a 3-0 defeat in Gwent at Goytre for whom Dan McDonald (2) and Leon Jeanne netted.

Elsewhere Cortez Belle helped himself to a hat-trick as Port Talbot Town won 3-0 at Cwmbran Celtic to make it back-to-back wins.

Newly-promoted Briton Ferry Llansawel picked their first win at the fifth attempt after edging winless bottom side Caerau Ely 4-3 in a thriller.

Steve Davey, Rory Healey, David Brown and Kieran Williams got the goals for Briton Ferry.

Sam Johnston scored twice for Taffs Well who are fourth after a 3-0 home defeat of Cambrian and Clydach. Sam O’Sullivan also scored.

Afan Lido, meanwhile, are fifth after coming from behind to win 3-2 at Monmouth Town – which was inspired by a second hat-trick in succession for Mark Jones.

Elliot Ford and Mitch Palmer scored for Monmouth.

In Division Two Pontardawe Town went top after a 1-0 home win over Aberbargoe­d Buds.
